Your gift-finding answers

Gift Genie uses answers in the current page to match a curated gift collection. The questionnaire stays in the current page and clears on reload. When you save a gift, we store its details and the recipient label in your private basket. We also save your chosen genie name, personality and visual appearance. These are linked to your signed-in site identity, or an essential guest cookie when you are not signed in. Guest baskets are tied to that browser; clearing its cookie loses access. Other visitors cannot see your saved items. You can remove saved gifts from your basket at any time. Avoid putting sensitive personal details in recipient names. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and access logs.

Choosing one gift & custom designs

Your custom-genie draft is saved with your site identity. The gift comparison uses your saved gift titles and prices, plus the clue and spending limit you enter. Currently it uses a simple comparison of words and prices. If OpenAI advice is enabled, those details will be sent to OpenAI to suggest one saved gift; your account identifier and recipient label are not included in that request. The result identifies whether it is AI-assisted or a quick comparison.

Shopping links

Opening a retailer or shopping-search link takes you to another service. A shopping search includes the interests, specific favourites, recipient age and budget used in its query. That service handles information under its own privacy policy. Affiliate links, when present, are labelled “Ad · Affiliate link” before you leave Gift Genie and may earn Gift Genie commission on qualifying purchases. Retailers and their affiliate networks may use cookies or similar technologies after you follow a link to attribute a purchase. Their own privacy notices and choices apply. Commission does not change the gift-matching score.

Advertising

Google AdSense is prepared but currently disabled. No Google advertising script or advertising cookies are loaded by this site while it is disabled. Advertising will only be enabled after account and site approval and the required consent setup.

When enabled, clearly labelled display ads will appear in at most two spaces on gift results, with none on the homepage, questionnaire or basket. Gift Genie requests non-personalised ads. These can still use cookies or similar technology for functions such as reporting and limiting repeat ads. The gift questionnaire is not added to ad requests as targeting data.

A Google-certified consent platform must be installed before advertising is enabled. It will present the applicable privacy choices. If required consent is unavailable or declined, the integration will not request ads. The gift finder remains free to use.
